Exposing Your True Genealogy

Do you know your bloodline? Do you take pride in your genealogy? Does genealogy have significance in God’s program today ? Are you better than a Gentile if you are a Jew?

 New Picture

People take pride in their race, and that’s why  “Racism” still divides the world. It is common that an individual is identified in families, tongues, land and nation. And as days passes by it develops unto more deeper form. One is distinguished by his color, beliefs, health, social status, profession, practices, and many other standards of man. Some of you may only trace on both parents, some on your colonizers or early settlers in your land. Some can go back as far as they say concerning their ancestors. However, for those who take pride in genealogy that concerns spiritual things(for e.g.Landmarkism for some baptist, black Jews and other Jews, and many others), you will be surprised that what you are fighting for does no give you any worth if the scripture will speak to you. We will trace our genealogy without any bias of religious affinities. Let’s not trace with a PAUSE, but let’s trace with a CAUSE-to find out why Paul wrote to us of the vanity of contending because of genealogies. The words used are “avoid” and “neither give heed”.

Tit 3:9  But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

1Ti 1:4  Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

  1. This view is so antibiblical its not even funny. If there is nothing to genealogy, why are we given Christ’s genealogy? Why does it matter that he is “of the seed of David?” If everyone is just supposed to drop concerns of genealogy, why not him first? Why not lead by example?

    Now, as to this:
“Rom 9:25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.”

What the KJV is calling “Osee” is of course Hosea. Have you read Hosea? I think not.

Hosea is about how the 10 tribes of Israel will be scattered among the nations and lost. God will say to the 10 tribes of Israel “You are not my people” and this will cause them to be lost. But at the end, comfort is announced, that someday God will say to those “who were not my people, you are my people” and they will be brought back. This doesn’t apply to the Gentiles en masse except inasmuch as the Gentiles have the blood of the lost 10 tribes in their genetic makeup. Read Hosea if you don’t believe me. Be a Borean. The Boreans were more fair minded than those in Thesalonica, why? Because they checked up on Paul’s usage of the OT. That’s what the story is about, they searched the Scriptures (the OT) daily to see if those things Paul said were really so. It is not heresy to double-check Paul’s OT-based arguments.

    As for this:
“1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.”

In Greek, the same word is used to mean both “kingdom” and “sovereignty.” “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the sovereignty of God”–I should hope not! But let’s take the word as truly meaning “kingdom.” Why does Paul say this? Because he has grown weary of waiting for the kingdom of God to come, and therefore decides willynilly that it will never come in this world but that it is something you go to after death. What all the prophets looked forward to, the kingdom of God coming down to earth, he says, not, can’t happen, it can only be something after death. Note that this is also a denial of the resurrection of the flesh. Paul is really teaching the Gnostic idea of spiritual resurrection in 1 Cor 15.

    • Is Paul anti-biblical for writing these words to the believers?
(1Ti 1:4) Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

(Tit 3:9) But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

By the way if you are looking for things just for fun it’s not here. This is not intended to entertain anybody. You can feel bad about anything that you think against your understanding and you’re free here to express yourself.

Have I derided the genealogy of Christ? Not so.

In fact I just scratched the bottom concerning what Paul is teaching the members of the body of Christ because there are still more. And Paul the apostle, an Hebrew of Hebrew (Php.3:5) and a Pharisee, is the one telling the believers in the body with the words I quoted above
      (neither give heed to…endless genealogies
The genealogy of the Lord Jesus Christ is very important and by tracing not with a pause, as most of you are doing, brings you back to an identification in Christ u. And one’s identification in Christ is very important. God is dealing nowadays regardless of whether you are a Jew or Gentile. I don’t mean that He forget Israel but that His covenant with them at the Old Testament is not happening in this church age. You should know that God in some point of time deals with individual ,Israel and with the church which is His body. Trying to mix His program and enforcing it in this church’s period leads many of you to a mess.

I have read the book of Hosea and will continue to read it. But I can see you are reading into it for what it does not say. For you even have in your mind a different understanding of what Paul is teaching. You missed verse 24 of Rm.9. Where did you get the idea that it is not the Gentiles? Are you better than Paul who wrote in most of his written epistles about “not my people” who becomes “my people” to misinterpret it to refer not to “Gentiles”? I can see that you are unaware of God’s revelation to Paul.

That’s one good thing with the Bereans (Acts 17:10-11), but the scripture is not all about Old testament and the revelation given to him was a mystery-some truths were hid in God and before Israel came in view and even before the foundation of the world . What was written by Paul was the commandment of the Lord and he was given further revelations.
1Co 14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

Sad to say many falls on verse 38…Because Paul was given further revelation by the Lord and many cannot understand those things according to the revelation of mystery and not prophesy (Eph.3:3, 9, 5:32; Col.1:26-27). You’ve misunderstood the scripture and even added something to it by reading what Paul didn’t mean. He hasn’t grown weary on waiting , and Paul does not even meant it to be from a Gnostic idea.

This is not intended to make anybody funny. But if you feel bad about this view I hope someday you’ll remember to reconsider and study it in the light of rightly dividing the scripture (2 Tim.2:15)God’s program for this age is not about Israel but about the church, where Jews and Gentiles have no distinction in His sight, though in some Jews and people like you it still mean so much. Well not for me. And if you cannot understand what I am pointing out seeing you are so hide-bound in your tradition, I hope someday God will enlighten you. I cannot blame you for not understanding what I am saying because you have different understanding. I can see why Paul the apostle got difficulty convincing his fellow countrymen for their unbelief during his time.

It is not that God change His covenant with Israel, it is only in abeyance and not His program or not the economy today.”All the Bible is FOR us but not all is TO us.” I wish you know what ‘to be biblical’ means in order for you to understand what is ‘unbiblical’. Not because you see it in the Bible makes it biblical already. You have to see if it is your mail. You will confuse yourself if you don’t know God’s program for the church and mean that it is the same with God’s program for Israel. The reason I traced the genealogy in flesh and blood and showed you that one’s identification with Adam doesn’t saved him but one’s identification in Christ.
