CHOSEN- not by Chance or Change

Some people who considered themselves as believers cannot even believe what the word of God says, but they even care to believe different things.

New Picture (4)

Eph 1:4  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Eph 1:5  Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Eph 1:6  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

He hath chosen us  (v.4)

In him before the foundation of the world (v.4)

Holy and without blame (v.4)

Having predestinated  us  (v.5)

His will ( according to the good pleasure of his will) (v.5)

His grace( To the praise of the glory of his grace) (v.6)

Hath made us accepted in the beloved (v.6)

I don’t have to preach in order for you to see this. I hope and pray that  God’s  Spirit will reveal it to your heart.

    • Some believers were tempted to question their relationship after they believed in the Lord, especially during times that everything seems overwhelming and doesn’t go well, or when they can’t answer the criticism.

Just want to say here that God’s grace surpassed every human reason regardless of unbelief. It does not only conquers evolution camp, at least in my own understanding, though in this post it is highlighted. God’s grace is His design before any idea of evolving was ever invented , along with some others inside so called “Christianity”, who uphold the by chance theology. But in the word of God , we are shown that He has a design. According to the purpose of Him (Eph.1:11).

      • I don’t think that way especially if they are thinking of God’s purpose. But for me, Creation and Evolution cannot be joined. God’s Science and it’s development must be under God’s word, but not in a compromise.

      • Why would it be a compromise? Is it possible that popular Christianity misinterprets Genesis, especially since many of the church fathers understood the creation story as metaphor? (For example: Origen, Augustine, Wesley, Calvin, and others)

    • It is a compromise because evolution has different story with God’s way of creation. The Million and Billion years that evolutionists always use is an escape-goat for cross examination. They cannot even prove those years.

True science will not come against Scriptures, will not go beyond it, nor will try to rival it, but Theistic evolution position is an avenue to compromise, many are just unaware. It’s becoming a big mantle and if they present their case I think comparative study is good with it, though I know it’s a long way of uncertainty.

I don’t know if those people you’ve listed were erroneous in those views. Any man is prone to mistakes that’s why we have to return to a basis. If your basis is not really the Scripture, then you will find it wanting. But God’s word is clear and must be used as your basis
      (2 Tim.3:16-17).
1Ti 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

      • I guess what I am saying is that the church has viewed Genesis 1 as a metaphor since the dawn of Christianity. Those people I listed were leading reformers in Christian thought. I am not saying that Scripture is false, I am saying that popular Christianity is reading it wrong.

I could easily refer to the Psalms which say that the Lord is a strong tower and conclude that God is made of mortar and stone, but I think we both agree that I would be reading the text incorrectly if I arrived at that conclusion. Passages in the Old Testament refer to God “opening the heavens” and pouring forth rain, or opening up His storehouses and bringing forth snow. Do these passages mean we have to reject the way we understand the weather to work, or do we instead recognize that the passages are poetic metaphor communicating that God is sovereign over even the weather?

If we can read these passages as metaphor, why can we not re-examine the way we read Genesis 1? Especially when we realize that biology, chemistry, zoology, physics, archaeology, biochemistry, and anthropology all independently confirm evolution beyond any legitimate doubt?

      • A Creationist’s conclusion differs from the conclusion of Evolutionist. It is because they differ in the beginning of their understanding. Anyone who doubts creation account in Genesis 1 will always suggest re-examination. But it’s too broad to discuss it, tracing your ancestors from fish that will never become a person, or surrender our minds to the Creator alone.

        This verse in
Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

strongly indicates that man was formed from something, though you use that (dust) as part of your blog, and not from some existing animal. Anyone who will try to reconsider that for a different interpretation, does not bow to the God the Bible is proclaiming, because they do not believe what the word of God says in Genesis.

I don’t agree that all those in biology, zoology, chemistry, physics, archaeology, biochemistry and anthropology all confirms to evolution. It depends upon your information that you are reading. There are many scientists who don’t hold to theistic evolution view and will contradict it. The late Dr. Henry Morris has founded Institute for Creation Research (http://www.icr.org), now headed by Dr. John Morris, and many scientists. If theistic evolution is true, they will not exist until now. They can present with you solid evidences and research you may be up to to reconsider your stand. Or http://www.answersingenesis.org/ .

      • I hate to point this out, but ICR and AiG are all rejected by the scientific community. Ken Ham is not a scientist, nor does he bear the credentials to claim to be one. He also is not a very good Christian, if the claims are accurate – the fact that he was sued by the previous creationist organizations he has worked with and was banned from Christian homeschool gatherings because of how he attacks anyone with a different view does not bode well for his character.

Additionally, the “evidence and research” presented on both sites are quite often deliberately fraudulent, false, or misleading. You’re not going to find science on those sites; you’re also not going to find sound Biblical scholarship.

      • The God of the Scripture, the Bible, has designed for His creation even before the Genesis account, and that’s what really I wanted to say here to encourage those who believe it. He does not have to wait for Million years just to figure out, or to let things evolve naturally. I n my opinion, that’s how the God of Creationist differ from that of Theistic evolutionist.
That’s how He dealt with mankind, though what we mostly can see, especially in the Old Testament , that He’s dealing were mostly with Israel only as a chosen people. But now in the gospel of grace to the Body of Christ.

Anyway, I know you all have a lot of questions to all Creationists which may not be dealt with an exact response. But this collision with evidences to prove each side is so big and will need a lot of posts and exchange of information, and your comment really had caused me to consider this further. And since those organization I mentioned were no use to you, and so this berean will use only God’s word. Thanks for commenting.
